Okavango Kopano Mokoro Community Trust (OKMCT) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its P1.5 million office project at its plot in Boronyane, Maun on the 29th November 2019. The projected approved during the OKMCT AGM will help the trust save money spent on renting office space.
OKMCT drilled many boreholes to supply all the villages that benefit from the NG/32 concersion.
It is now earsier to access different locations in the NG/32 concersion because OKMCT has constructed many bridges for the local people.
Every village in NG/32 has a pre school, these are imported projects OKMCT has done to provide education for children in every settlement.
OKMCT has realised that the old age residents of these settlements need accommodation and build them houses and toilets rooms to protect them from bad weather and wild animals.
This is one of the major projects the OKMCT has done to diversify with the tourism projects to boost the lifehood of those benefiting from the NG/32. This will create employement for those in rural settlements and also provide them with food. The revernue will help in development of the villages.
